John Alexander Kriss (Kryciak), passed away peacefully of pneumonia, in White Rock, BC, on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2022, at the age of 93. He is survived and well-loved by his wife of 71 years, Sheila, their 5 children: Joy, Judy (Mike), Jim (Barb), Kim (Rick) Jack (Lori), 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, as well as his sisters, Mary and Annie.
A salesman with Honours in Chemistry from UBC, a teacher and later an entrepreneur (successful owner and operator of Cloud 9 Ladies Apparel), “The Rock” had a huge personality, led life to the fullest and kept every day interesting. His energetic enthusiasm and joie de vivre will be greatly missed. He filled every room with his humour, unexpected actions and words and his zest for enjoying all of life’s challenges.
“He did it his way!”
