Kim passed away with his wife Donna by his side after a short illness. Kim is survived by Donna and their daughters Rianna Ritchie (Mark), Jenna and Mishaela, and grandson Lucas, his parents Oksfeldt ("Philip") and Gurli, siblings Pia O'Keeffe (Mel), Ian and Roy (Sacha), and many nephews and nieces. For Kim, North Vancouver was home. He graduated from Windsor Secondary School in 1981, and later from BCIT and SFU. Kim was an avid traveler, working in Finland and Sweden after high school and later exploring the world from Nunavut to rural China with Donna and family. Kim was proud of his of work accomplishments. He worked 25 years at Armtec, ultimately as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. For the past seven years Kim and Donna owned and managed Innovative Parts & Solutions Ltd., a railway-parts manufacturer. Kim's jokes and antics made his wife and daughters roll their eyes and his grandson giggle endlessly. Kim loved golf, running marathons and healthy eating. Kim always made exception for red wine, and, in these last months, for his sister's Nanaimo bars, but Kim never wavered from his twice-daily flossing regimen or from his claim to be the "luckiest man alive".
