Marion Connell and Bill Barr were born in or near Glasgow, Scotland. They were married in 1954 and immigrated from Bridge-of -Weir, Scotland, to Canada in 1956, leaving most of their beloved family behind. They lived in Kitimat until 1972, when Victoria became their home and where they continued to raise Moira (Kevin) and Iain (Rubina). Bill predeceased Marion in 2014 and, in August 2023, Marion moved to Vancouver to be closer to family. Marion and Bill will be missed. Their granddaughters Alyson (Alex) and Kirsten were their pride and joy, Marion referred to her girls as "all she had", and she couldn't believe she lived to meet her great grandson William.
