Patricia Anne McIntosh (nee Babcock) – also affectionately known as Mrs. Mac to many of her students – helped establish the English Literature curriculum for the International Baccalaureate® (IB) program in Canada. Prior to this she was a teacher at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School, Lord Byng, Vancouver Technical, and many other schools in Vancouver, Toronto, and Albuquerque NM. Born in Edmonton, raised on farms in Saskatchewan and Manitoba before moving to Vancouver as a teen, she was predeceased by her husband Donald James McIntosh, and her sister Mary Ellen Babcock. She is survived by her four children: Maggy, Tamsin, David, and John, and her four grandchildren: Caleb, Laura, Holden, and Junhong.
