May 14, 1928 – May 26, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond Alexander Stewart, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who left us peacefully on May 26, 2025, at the age of 97.
Born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Ray lived a life full of love, laughter, and purpose. He moved his family to Vancouver, where he built a long and successful career with Carter Dodge until his well-earned retirement.
Ray was a proud snowbird, spending many joyful winters in Arizona. He cherished the simple pleasures of life—playing golf, cards, and shuffleboard, and most of all, sharing time with the many dear friends he made over the years. His community, both in Canada and the U.S., was truly enriched by his warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
Raymond was deeply grateful for the compassionate care he received in his later years. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the incredible care aides, nurses, and staff—both front and back—at Cederview Care Facility. Your kindness and support meant the world to him and to us.
He will be remembered always for his steady presence, quick wit, and the love he gave so freely. The world has lost a good one.
