With profound sadness, Sharon passed away in Burnaby Hospital with Elaine at her side. She is predeceased by her loving husband Bert Bauer and father Desmond Deroche. Sharon is survived by her mother Irene, sister Elaine (Tony); brothers-in-law Cliff (Gina) and Gord (Diana); nieces and nephews (Justin, Eric, Robert, Laura, and Carling her Goddaughter); plus many cousins and friends.
Sharon and Bert celebrated over 48 happy years together. They enjoyed travelling, good food, music, their cats, and living life to its fullest, Unfortunately, both endured many health issues during the last years of their life but were together in the same care home.
Sharon was very spiritual and her faith helped her through the tough times. She will be missed by all but never forgotten.
The family would like to thank her companion Joy and the staff at Fair Haven, Burnaby Lodge for all their care and support.
Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at St. Francis de Sales Parish, 6610 Balmoral Street, Burnaby, BC.
