It is with deep and profound sadness that I announce the passing of my darling wife Suzanne. She passed on November 17, 2023 at VGH.
Suzanne was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on September 16, 1938. Her maiden name was Frank. Her mother and father were Hazel and Orville.
My darling Suzanne never really regained consciousness after suffering a stroke on Friday, November 10, 2023.
Suzanne was involved with the Methodist Church from her early life until she moved to Canada in 1969. Suzanne was, over time, a member of various churches in North Van. She made her faith the cornerstone of her life and she lived her life according to the teaching of our saviour Jesus Christ. Suzanne died with the certain knowledge that she was going to see her beloved parents and brother in heaven.
Suzanne leaves behind her husband Alan, three children Amy, Richard, and Laura, and two grandchildren Holly and Sano.
I have never known another person who was so consistently good humored as Suzanne. Suzanne always put her family first and herself last.
Suzanne at one time was the leader of CGIT in BC and she worked hard to make sure the young women in her care understood what being a Christian meant to her and hopefully them. Suzanne went to many church camps in her youth and she made sure the CGIT girls under her care had that experience also. The CGIT camp was Camp Kuomi near Chilliwack. Suzanne wrote a note, which was recently found, in which she said her CGIT experience was an intensely spiritual time in her life.
There will be a service at Sutherland Church, 630 19 St. E on December 9, 2023 at 11 AM.
