

Vivian Marie Kranenburg, born July 24, 1943 in Sudbury, Ontario, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in North Vancouver, at the age of 82.
Vivian was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all. Viv's quiet strength, warmth, and steady presence shaped the lives of her family. She carried herself with humility and kindness, always placing family first and offering love in the simple, meaningful ways that mattered most.
She found joy in nurturing life—through her love of gardening and her commitment to contributing to community activities, where she gave her time and care freely. These pursuits reflected her generous spirit, patience, and deep sense of connection to those around her. Her resilience, compassion, and unwavering support were constants her family could always rely on.
Vivian is lovingly remembered by her sons Douglas Kranenburg, Jonathan Kranenburg, and Trevor Kranenburg, her grandchildren Benjamin Kranenburg, Chase Kranenburg, and Bryceton Kranenburg, and her great-grandchildren Oliver Kranenburg and Audrey Kranenburg. Predeceased by her beloved grandson Myles Kranenburg, whom she held close in her heart.
A public service will be held in North Vancouver on January 30 at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver. A viewing will take place at 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. Guests are invited to join the family for light refreshments, tea and coffee from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vivian’s memory to the BC Burn Fund.
