Northport – Betty Huff Smith, age 83 of Mitt Lary Road in Northport, Ala. died March 27, 2017, at Windham House Nursing Home in Hattiesburg, Miss. A celebration of life will be at 10:30a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2017, from 5-7 at the funeral home.
She is preceded in death by her father, Eddie Hobson Huff and mother, Lovely Lee Drummond.
She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Walters Kelly of Hattiesburg, MS and Melanie Walters Oglesby of Nevalla, OK; her son, Terry O. Walters of Northport, AL; sister, Bobbie Huff Spain of Millport, AL; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was born in Tuscaloosa, AL April 28, 1933. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1951.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Dye, Justin Johnson, Justin Oglesby, Jeremy Taylor, Jimmy Oglesby and Bill Kelly
In lieu of flowers donations be made to Macedonia United Methodist Church in Tuscaloosa or American Heart Association.
