Bettye is survived by her nephew's, Jim and Steve Wolfe; niece, Sandra Wolfe Whatley; step-children, Denise Jones, David Dunn, Delorah McDonald; step-grandchildren, Brannon Steele, McKinley Dunn, Elizabeth Ann Dunn; step-great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.M. Dunn, Jr.; father, William Irby Brannon; mother, Lorena Whiddon Brannon; and her sister, Irby Louise Wolfe.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the Alabama College of Montevallo and attending William and Mary School of Social Work, she began her career at Bryce Hospital, where she retired after 39 years as a social worker. Bettye was a member of the University Church of Christ.
