NORTHPORT | Carol Kay Hamner Tucker, age 77, of Northport, died July 24, 2014, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Carroll’s Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Avery and Rev. Bill Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Survivors include her husband William (Bill) Tucker; daughters Saonda (William) Hill and Tammy Porter Talley; sons, Alan (Susan) Porter, Toby Porter, and Barry (Debbie) Tucker; two sisters; one brother; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Carol Kay was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Many in the community called her such. She was a great prayer warrior and active in her church.
Pallbearers will be cherished loved ones.
