

Charlotte was born on April 6, 1940, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to the late William Blanton Wheat and Octavia Stine Wheat. She was a proud graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School. After completing high school, Charlotte met her sweetheart, James Lesley Hall. The two were married and shared many adventures together while James served in the United States Marine Corps, traveling the world during his military career.
After their travels, Charlotte and James returned to Tuscaloosa, where she made her home and built a fulfilling life. She was employed at Coral Industries for approximately 20 years, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.
Charlotte had a generous heart and creative spirit. She loved sewing, cooking, embroidery, and crocheting beautiful items for her family and friends. She found great joy in caring for others and was truly loved by everyone she encountered. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She is survived by her sisters, Sue Slezak and Sherry Young; her brother, Bill Wheat; and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Lesley Hall.
A visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 15515 Yellow Creek Road, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35406. Flowers and memorial gifts are welcome but not required.
Charlotte was a light in our lives, and her love will remain in our hearts forever.
