Clara is survived by her son James Windle (Nora); her sister Evelyn Willcutt; her daughters Martha Jo Mize (Joe) and Mary Ellen Turner (Denny) and her unspecified A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great - great - grandchildren, nieces, nephews,and cousins.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband James H. Windle, Sr; her son Robert H. Windle; her parents Virgil and Josie Cork; her unspecified Four brothers and three sisters.
The family will receive friends for Clara on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home. A celebration of life graveside service will follow Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Jena, AL..

Mama was a strong Christian woman who loved each of her family and friends in a unique way. She was full of spunk and lived one day at a time. She and her sister, Evelyn talked daily on the phone. Mama enjoyed the “window” visits at home in Forest Manor Nursing Home from her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Not a day passed that she did now speak to them She enjoyed her church, praying, playing bingo, doing word puzzles and reading. One of her greatest joys was watching the birds and squirrel’s feed outside her window as well as listening to her wind chimes and seeing her flowers bloom. Truly, mama was a Proverbs 31 woman who was “mounted up with wings of eagles.” Isaiah 40:31. Earths loss is heavens gain.
