
Clarence Hall, age 78, of Buhl, died Jan. 10, 2013, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Union Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Stroup officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Hall Channell; his parents, Pearl and Auther Hall; his sisters, Ruby Herd and Betty Patton; and his brothers, Tommy and Lawrence Hall.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Hall of Buhl; his daughters, Janice Darden (Dave) of Northport and Vicky Goodwin of Buhl; his brothers, Danny S. Hall of Tuscaloosa, Mike Hall (Charlene) of Oxford, Miss., and Donald Hall of Tuscaloosa; his grandchildren, David Goodwin (Brandee) of Warner Robins, Ga., Carrie Tidwell (Tracy) of Opelika, Lori White of Northport, Ashley Austin (Riley) of Northport, Jason Darden of Atlanta, Ga., Brad Channell (Alicia) of Montevallo, and Haley Channell of Montevallo; and his great-grandchildren, Tyler and Sara White, Kylie and Kelsey Austin, and Aiden Tidwell.
He fought a long battle with lung cancer, and is now at rest in his heavenly home.
Pallbearers will be David Goodwin, Brad Channel, Jason Darden, Tracy Tidwell, Riley Austin, and Tim Channell.
Honorary pallbearers are friends of Corinth Baptist Church, employees of Phifer, Inc., Hospice of West Alabama, and friends and family of the Buhl community.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to one's church or favorite charity.
