Donald Joe Stines

DJ was born in Tuscaloosa, AL., on March 10, 1975. He graduated from Tuscaloosa County High. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1996 until 2004. He was employed at Patton Welding in Cordova, AL., as a shop supervisor, welder, fabricator, and millwright. He would also do side work for RDG Welding in Fosters, AL., as a welder.

DJ loved spending time with his family and friends. He could often be seen fishing, riding his Harley, or singing along to whatever music he was listening to. He will be remembered for his willingness to help others, hard work, infectious laugh, smile, comical sense of humor, and witty comebacks. To know him was to love him.

He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Misty Stines; his children, Summer Stines, Parker (Lee) Morgan, Maitlyn Morgan, Brianna Stines, and AJ Stines; his mother, Sarah Hall; his sister, Dana Middlebrooks (Slim); and grandfather, Joe Hall

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Stines; his grandmothers, Sarah Robertson and Dora Stines; and grandfather, Frank Stines Jr.

Funeral Services for DJ will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, AL., with family visitation starting at 12:00 PM and public visitation following at 1:00 PM. Services will be officiated by David Mitchell and Tony Smithson.

Pallbearers are Austin Winters, Jeff DeCorte, Eric Frazier, Eric Shepherd, John Hudson, and Mark Hall, Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers are Patton Welding, Austin Hoss, Pat Allen, Erik Brooks, RDG Welding, Chad Booth, and Mitch Hudgins.
