

He was born on September 15,1941 to Frelin and Tommie Sue Hysaw of Northport, Alabama.
Douglas was proceeded in death by his parents, Frelin and Tommie Sue Hysaw, sisters, Myra Jean Hysaw, and Dorothy Woods.
Survivors include the love of his life and best friend of 46 years, Margaret McPherson Hysaw, daughters Sherie Hysaw White (Jeff), Meta Hysaw Lovely, grandchildren; Brittany Butler (Blake), Blake Turner (Olivia), Andrew Turner, Matthew Farley (Paige), Haley Lovely, Peyton Lovely, Shelby Carter (Jeremy) and six great grandchildren; MaKenzie, Owen, McKenna, Auna, Blakeley Rose and Braxtyn. He is also survived by his sister; Ina Sue Herring, brother; Edwin Hysaw (Barbara), along with several nieces and nephews who he dearly loved and special friend James Horton.
Douglas was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School in the class of 59 and attended the University of Alabama. He retired from Hunt Oil Company in 1995 after 31 years of service as a crude operator. He loved to travel, was an avid fisherman and a master gardener. He will be greatly missed by his family and all whose life he touched.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Park. Pastor Jim Young officiating and eulogy by Jeff White. Visitation one hour prior to service.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Farley, Blake Turner, Andrew Turner, Peyton Lovely, Duane Herring and Stephen Hysaw.
