Grady Leon Pearson

Elrod / Grady Leon Pearson, age 63, of Elrod passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at home. Funeral Services for Leon Pearson will be October 17, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Elrod Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Dockery officiating. Burial will follow at Elrod Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is tonight from 6–8 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. Mr. Pearson was preceded in death by his mother, Nina Pearson; two sons, Anthony Shane Pearson & Christopher Ray Patrick. Mr. Pearson is survived by his wife, Pat Pearson; daughters, Tina Stevenson (Rick), Amber Curry (Winston), and Yalonda Goodman (Scott); sons, Grady Leon Pearson, Jr., Richard Patrick and Doyle Patrick (Tonya); father, Marion Grady Pearson; sister, Sheila Gay (David); brothers, Ronnie Pearson (Carolyn) and Rickey Pearson (Jenny); best friend, Daisy; grandchildren, Joshua Stevenson, Jacob Stevenson, Storm Stevenson, Brantley Patrick, Dustan Pate, Brittanie Goodman, Halie Goodman, Christopher Goodman, Clayton Goodman, Ryan Clifton, Kaitlen Clifton, Bradley Clifton, Destiny Patrick, and Kaylee Patrick.Leon was a member of Unity Baptist Church. He was elected in the Alabama Softball Hall of Fame. Pallbearers will be Richard Patrick, Doyle Patrick, Rick Stevenson, Jacob Stevenson, Winston Curry, Scott Goodman, Ronnie Norris, Timbo Boothe, David Walker, and Dusty Pearson. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Unity Baptist Church or The American Diabetes Association. ROLL TIDE!
