Houston Blake Crump

Houston and Tiffany lived their elementary school years with their mother Elizabeth, "PapPap" Jack Stack and "Granny Madge" Stack in Meridian, MS and returned to Tuscaloosa to live with their father David, attending Hillcrest Middle and Hillcrest High Schools. Houston earned his Bachelor's degree from his beloved University of Alabama in 2016.

Houston was loved dearly by his family and friends and was always there to help others in times of need. He was a devoted father who loved his his daughter with every ounce of his being. He was a gentle giant with a huge tender heart. His big bear hugs and infectious laughter were legendary as he lit up any room he entered, and most conversations ended with an emphatic "ROLL TIDE"! Having accepted Christ as his Savior, we know he is now at peace and in comfort in his heavenly home.

Houston is predeceased by his brother, Austin Crump; grandparents, Sam and Diane Stack Ross; great grandparents, Jack and Madge Stack, Bill and Margaret Hopkins and Houston and Annie Dean Crump.

He is survived by the love of his life, daughter Everleigh Crump, her mother Ashley Phillips, sisters, Tiffany Crump Johnson (Joel) of Greensboro, Kayla Crump of Tuscaloosa, Rose Hemming of New York; brother Dawson Crump of Tuscaloosa; father, David Crump (Leila) of Tuscaloosa and Elizabeth Ross of Greensboro. Niece and nephew Paisley and Noah Johnson of Greensboro, grandparents, Ron and Jane Crump of Ashville, Al; uncles, Doug Crump (Kathy, of Tuscaloosa, John Ross of Tuscaloosa, Steve Ross (Sara) of Coppell, TX; aunt, Deanna Ross; cousins Josie and Mara Crump of Tuscaloosa and Harper and Darby Ross of Coppell, TX.

Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Sunset Funeral Home, 3802 Watermelon Road, Northport, Al 35473. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Dr. Michael Mills will officiate services.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Cody Lackey, Jarad Jackson, Greg Jackson, Max Holloway, Christopher Keel, Brooks McCullar, Joel Johnson and Wilson Phillips.

Honorary Pallbearers and Longtime friends, Chris and Taylor Albright, Andy Townsend and Corey Townsend, Drew Madison, Mandy Eberhart, Petra Eberhart and Jenny Eberhart, Haley Wallace, Hunter Hudson, Trevor Bonner, Blake Hannah, Chuck Burrough, Elliot Lightsley, Luke Alexander, Evan Black and Cameron Black, Justin Johnson, Trey Hinton, Jack McGuire and Justin McGuire.

Houston was loved by so many, others of you know who you are that held a special place in his heart.
