Isabelle C. Sexton

Our beloved Mama, Isabelle Collins Sexton, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 17, 2020. In addition to being known as a prayer warrior, Isabelle was dedicated to her Lord, her family and read her Bible daily. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing the bounty of her tomato crop. Though it cannot console those who are left behind, we know she is in heaven today.

A Celebration of Life will be at 1 pm Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Hill and Missionary Larry Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider directing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Billy Don Sexton, her sister Doris Dunn and her parents, Fletcher and Ethel Collins. She is survived by her son, Don Sexton (Brenda); daughter, Jeannette Minor (Jerry); grandchildren, Dr. Elaina Sexton, and Ashley Maples (Patrick); great- grandchildren, Kristin Wood (Cody) and Jacob Maples.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Maples, Harold Hamilton, Cody Wood, Jacob Maples, John Douglas Haynes and David Goins. Honorary pallbearers are the members of Robertson Chapel Baptist Church, Dr. Stephen Browne, Dr. Phil Hemstreet, staff at DCH Regional Medical Center, and Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue.
