ELROD | James Wesley Tilley, age 82, of Elrod, died January 18, 2015. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Springer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Morrine Tilley; son, James Lee Tilley; brother, Jack Tilley, Jr.; and sisters, Mary Champion and Rosa Mills.
Survivors include daughters, Donna Boothe and Joyce Tilley; son, Billy Tilley; sister, Jessie Mae Tilley; brother, Johnny Tilley; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
James was retired from Central Foundry. He had a vivid imagination, was a great story teller and a friend to all.
Pallbearers will be Lee Tilley, Charlie Beck, Daniel Beck, David Beck, Auzzie Martin, and Joe Mills.
