Josephine is survived by her children Ronald E. Smith and Shelia A. Smith (Danny), her grandchildren John Smith (Leann) and James Smith (Brittany) and 12 Great grandchildren.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Lewis D. Smith; her father Rufus Waldrop and her mother Opal Crowder Waldrop; her grandson's jimmy M. Hoover and Ronald (Peanut) G. Hoover.
Josephine retired from Partlow State Mental Hospital and was a member of Clinton Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and her family and will dearly be missed.
Pallbearers will be Danny Smith, William Wilson, James Cannon, Barry Johnson, Eddie Wilkinson and Atticus McDonald

The family will receive friends for Josephine on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home with the Celebration of Life Service following. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
