Joyce Faye Taylor, age 76, of Coker, died Sept. 16, 2011, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dennis Kinnan and Bro. Daniel Farris officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Taylor, Sr.; her daughter, Linda Wallace; her son, William Earl Phillips; and her parents.
Survivors include her daughters, Jacqueline Renea Epperson and Aleta Taylor and Melissa Taylor; her sons, Eddie Wayne Phillips, Norman Phillips, Timothy Phillips, Randy Hoggle, and John Taylor, Jr.; her brothers, Robert Parker and Fred Parker; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a wonderful “Mama”, “Granmama”, and “Great Granmama”. She loved her family, church family, friends, and pets. She’s sipping coffee in heaven.
Pallbearers will be Brad Phillips, Joshua Tingle, Josh Dickerson, Jason Turman, Toby Williams, Jack Land, and David Chaudoin.
