Karen Elizabeth Hitt passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Druid City Hospital. She was born August 12, 1958, in Lansing, Michigan to her father, Merlin Duncan and mother, Yvonne Duncan. Karen was a graduate of Tuscaloosa High School, Class of 1976, and a graduate of the University of Alabama, Class of 1980.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Hitt, and her favorite golden girl, Penelope.
Karen was the life of the room and never met a stranger. To know her was to lover her and to laugh a lot. She had many friends that were like family. The family would like to thank her friends, Judy Tanner, Susan Haynes, Trish Turner, Madeline Hollingsworth, and Cheryl Sullivan for their love and friendship as well as the staff at Davita Dialysis.
