BOLIGEE | Lewis D. Smith, age 79, of Boligee, died February 12, 2014, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Bullard officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Ronald Hoover Jr. "Peanut"; parents, Will and Trannie Smith; and brothers, Vernon and Roger Dale Smith.Survivors include his wife, Josephine Smith; daughters, Shelia Smith, Heather McDonald (Shane); son, Ronnie Smith; sisters, Louise Montgomery and Clementine Adams (Sonny); brothers, Billy Smith (Nancy), Bobby Earl Smith (Vickie), John Wayne Smith (Vickie); and grandchildren, Jimmy Hoover (Lanie), John Michael Smith, and James Blake Smith (Brittany); and nine great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Dennis Crimm, Bobby Earl Smith, John Wayne Smith, William Wilson, Nick Wilson, and Kevin Stewart.Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, Central Foundry, Indian Hills Country Club, all members and former members of Clinton Baptist Church, jay Mullins, Barry Colburn, and Lonnie Narramore.
