Lloyd and Stella Flemings

Lloyd and Stella Flemings, Lloyd 75 and Stella 74 have gone home to be with their Lord. They are survived by their children, Rhonda (Mitch) Bircheat and Howard (Terri) Flemings; grandchildren, Tara (Joe) Caldwell, Lori (Ben) Stiefel, Chase Flemings, Amanda Bircheat, Chris Bircheat, Lindsey Pearson, Zach and Alisha Pearson, Abby Pearson; 9 great-grandchildren and granddog , Heidi. Mr. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. H.W. Fleming and Mary Flemings. Lloyd and Stella are also preceded in death by their son, Gaython Flemings, Granddaughter, Marykate Rogers. Stella is also survived by her sister, Rachel Shook. Celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Fleming’s home going will be on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home starting at 10am. Family will receive friends following the service. Lloyd was born on June 24, 1938 and married Stella Faye Henderson on October 5, 1957 and had 56 wonderful years together. He served his country in the US Navy for 2 years and retired from B.F. Goodrich after 39 1/2 years. Lloyd was loved by many and will be missed tremendously. He was a wonderful husband and dad always taking care of his family, children and his favorite pet Heidi. Anyone that knew Lloyd knew he loved his case knife collection because he showed it to them. They also knew he loved to travel because he made them look at his state-line photo album, and they were certain he had money because they got to see his toilet seat with money in it. Stella was a Godly woman that loved her Lord and Savior. She loved her children and loved to work in her many rose gardens. If you gave Stella a rose bush, she would plant it in her garden and name it after you. Stella worked for 20+ years in the child care business where she touched so many young children lives. Lloyd and Stella are beloved parents, grandparents, and friends; they will be deeply missed by many. Pallbearers will be, David Oswalt, David Green, Kevin Green, Ryan Green, Chase Fleming, Ben Stiefel, Hannah Sullivan, Rachel Green and Allison Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Rick and Gina Bradley, Wayne and Lorene Bircheat, Wayne, Peggy and Tim Baker, Phyllis Quinn, David and Lydia Clay, Denise Fuller, Jim and Ruthann Ricketts, David and Carol Oswalt, Hospice Care givers, Amy Brown, Jamie Robertson, B.F. Goodrich, Mr. Bills, Perkins Cabinet Shop Cindy Flemings, Consumer First Mortgage. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
