Lois Toxey Toler

Lois Toxey Toler, age 92, of Tuscaloosa, died July 15, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Bill Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mordie Toxey; her mother, Martha Lawrence Toxey; her brothers, Rufus, Noland, and D.Z. Toxey; her sister, Lorene Toxey Hosmer; her husband, Edgar Asa Toler; and her great-grandson, Sgt. Justin Ryan Junkin.

Survivors include her son, Edgar Rayburn Toler (Betty); her sister, Mildred Toxey Mills; her grandchildren, Joni Toler Junkin (Jeff) and Jon Randall Toler (Julia); her great-grandchildren, Margaret Ann Elder, Hayden Toler, Conner Toler, Liam Toler, and Andrew Toler; and her great-great-granddaughter, Adelynn Junkin.

Lois was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church. She was a very social person who never met a stranger. She leaves behind many friends and family and will be greatly missed by all.

Pallbearers will be Barry Harless, Bennet and John Cole Castleberry, David Mills, Coy Hosmer, and Steve Perrigin.

Honorary pallbearers are friends of Hilltop Baptist Church and neighbors of Oak Trace
