

Mary Frances Dunn Perkins, 79, of Northport died on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Heritage Health and Rehab. Graveside services will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 at noon at Sunset Memorial Park, with Sunset Funeral Home a Dignity memorial Provider directing. A memorial service will be held on the evening of Monday, October 13 beginning at 6:30 at Carroll's Creek Baptist Church 14247 Highway 69 North, Northport. The family will recieve friends from 11:30-12;00 at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to and following the memorial service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husands Roswell (Rob) Dunn and Lloyd Perkins; parents, Nelson and Vergie Sansing; and brother Jessie (Hazel) Sansing.
Survivors include her daughter Joy Posey and son-in-law Danny Posey of Northport; brother, Charlie (Barbara) Sansing of Cottondale; grandchildren Mark Posey of Northport, Jonathan Posey of Northport, and Kelly (Terry) Colburn of Tuscaloosa; and a great granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Colburn of Tuscaloosa.
Frances was a caring mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born and lived most of her childhood in Lamar County. She was a 1954 graduate of Tuscaloosa County High. She married Roswell Dunn on June 21, 1955. She retired from Partlow after 25 years of service in 1994. She was a member of Carroll's Creek Baptist Church. She served as a volunteer at the Christian Ministry Center and was a member of the Gideon's Lady Auxiliary. She married Lloyd Perkins on January 5, 2002. She loved working in her flowerbeds and people would always stop by to get clippings of her beautiful flowers.
Pallbearers will be Mark Posey, Jonathan Posey, Terry Colburn, Chuck Sansing, Marlon Dunn, and Critt McNutt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Susan Sansing and Family, Billy and Maureen Sansing and Family, Glenda Sansing and Family, James and Betty Dunn and Family, Billy and Caddie Dunn and Family, Faye Posey, John Posey, Rick and Sharon Wright, Gayle Pritchett and Family, Dr. Regina Harrell, Dr. Leonard Jones, the staff of Heritage Health and Rehab, the staff of Rememberance Village at The Regency, the staff of Caring Days, and members of Carroll's Creek Baptist Church.
