Robert Ray

Robert (Bob) Ray of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, December 20,2020, in Northport, Alabama. God graced us with Bob for 68 years and Heaven is rejoicing to gain such a precious angel. He was raised in Birmingham and lived for twenty-five years at Rainbow Omega in Eastaboga, Alabama.

Bob loved the Lord, his family and his friends dearly. He loved unconditionally, was friendly, and never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face and kind words whenever he saw you. He taught others so much throughout his years. He taught us to be kind to everyone even if they look or act different than you. He taught us to love people for who they are instead of judging them for who they are not. One of Bob's neighborhood childhood friends summed him up perfectly when he wrote, "We all learned so much from Bob in our growing up years. He taught us tolerance, acceptance, appreciation, but most of all absolute love for the simplest things in life." Bob was a huge blessing in the lives of anyone who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Bill and Sue Ray, and his brother, Butch Ray. He is survived by his brother Steve (Melisa) Ray, sister Beverly (John) Grundhoefer, many nieces and nephews, as well as other family who loved him very much.

A private family service will be held for him at a later date. Thank you to all who had an impact on Bob's life. You all left footprints on our hearts.
