Roland Mitchell Champion

Roland is survived by his daughter Cindy (Spanky) Stewart; and his son Paul (Vicky) Champion; his grandchildren Michael Champion, Susan Champion, Del Stewart, Eric Stewart and Hunter Champion, his great grandchildren Elijah Mitchell, Josh Champion, Claire Rose, McKenna Fletcher Champion, Emma Champion, Kyson Stewart, Peyton Stewart, Skylar Stewart, Keegan Stewart, Reese Champion, and Annemarie Champion and his great-great grandchildren Zachariah David NjaFuh.

Roland was preceded in death by his son James David Champion and his daughter Brenda Lee Champion; his parents Ella May Griffin and Curtis M. Champion; his great granddaughter Gabriella Lee Champion.

There will be a military graveside service at Sunset Memorial Park on June 2, 2023 at 11:00am

Roland was born on August 11, 1938 in Tuscaloosa AL. He retired as a staff sergeant from United States Army and retired from Lockheed as a master mechanic and served in the United States Air force.
