BIRMINGHAM – Rufus Burton Keith, age 82, died March 8, 2017 at his home. Services will be 2 p.m. March 12, 2017 at Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Jerry Montgomery, Jerry Montgomery and Terrell Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Phillips Chapel Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, A Dignity Memorial Service Provider directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude C. Keith and Margie H. Keith.Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Sallada Keith; daughter, Gayle Hicks (Andy); sons, Randall Keith (Carol) and Mike Keith; brother, Troy Lee Keith; grandchildren, Dana Keith Trimble, Andy and Amanda Higgins, Leigha Higgins, Upmeyer and John Upmeyer, Taylor Keith Wilson (Leland), McKenzie Keith, Peyton Keith, Jason Karaginis, Crystal Peattie and Jon Peattie; great-grandchildren, Josh Avant, John David Upmeyer, Marilyn Molly Joy Higgin, Juliet Peattie and Isla Peattie.
