Violette F. Livingston

Violette was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where she attended Tuscaloosa High School. She was a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant at DCH Regional Hospital for 10 years, where her kindness and skill touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues. She married the love of her life, Charles Livingston and together they shared 53 years of love, joy, and companionship. Their union was blessed with four children, who were her pride and joy.

Family was at the heart of everything Violette did. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, always making time to create memories and share her love. Her warm heart, gentle spirit, and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Livingston; parents, Mazelle Clements Barton and Robert Peterson Barton; granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Madison; sisters, Martha Ann Jones and Dorothy Styes; and brother, Robert Gordon Barton.

Violette is survived by her daughters, Anita Pettinato; Angela Perrin (Jim), and Edie Madison (Tim); son, Charles "Chuck" Dennis Livingston (Lorene); grandchildren, Andrew, Zachary (Iulie), and Adam Parker, Amy Davis (Jawann), Christopher Livingston, Jennifer Patrick (Wes), Aaron McCrory, Matthew (Meredith) and Tyler Madison; great-grandchildren, Jordan Livingston, Devin and Brandon Davis, Jordyn and Axel Livingston, Makaylah and Tristin Cedotal, and Jackson and Nathan Madison.

A visitation for Violette will be held Monday, January 27, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers are Aaron McCrory, Tyler Madison, Matthew Madison, Jordan Livingston, Tim Madison and Jim Perrin.

Honorary pallbearers are Enhabit Home Health and Hospice, Caring Days Adult Daycare, and Soma Church.
