Mike spent his early years as a hard-working farm boy in Somerville, Alabama being raised by his loving adoptive parents Lloyd & Violet Sharp. Alongside him was his side kick and younger brother Rick. Mike was the oldest of all his siblings combined and set forth a hard work ethic that, no doubt, carried on throughout his entire life.
Mike graduated from Priceville High School, class of 1969. He then went to Calhoun Community College to became a draftsman by trade in the school of engineering. He obtained a mechanical engineering degree which then set forth his pathway to many endeavors in the architectural/mechanical engineering business. He poured his heart into many work projects over the years which literally lead him all over the world. He was a true polyglot learning many languages during his journeys as he would always connect with anyone that would talk with him. Whether it be about music, religion, his family, or the weather, he was going to have an input, nonetheless. Over the years, he achieves many roles and accomplishment, one being US Director of engineering operations for Solaronics, France. He also started his own company in Tuscaloosa, Alabama named SCS Systems Inc. where he designed and built many of the metal buildings throughout our town. He then went into cold storage which finally led him to his most recent position at ARCO Murray where he was a Senior Project Superintendent. He was most definitely a man of many accomplishments that had a work ethic like none other. Throughout his years, Mike also dedicated time into his family, his love for music-especially guitar, and was an active member of his church, Shepherd's Way.
