

NORTHPORT – Willie Mae Phillips Vandiver, age 89, died March 29, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 with Rev. Albert Lyles officiating. Burial will follow in Flatwoods Baptist Church Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, A Dignity Memorial Provider directing, Visitation will follow at Flatwoods Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Enoch Vandiver, Jr. and her son, Robert Michael Vandiver.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharron V. Maughn (Johnny) of Coker, Ala., Karen "Kay" V. Stovall (Murray) of Hoover, Ala., Debby V. Burt Birmingham, Ala.; sons, William E. "Bill" Vandiver (Dianee) of Lexington, Ala., Rick Vandiver of Northport, Ala., Steve Vandiver of Coker, Ala., John Vandiver of Villa Rica, Ga.; sisters, Jeanette Burgess, Belle Lee, Frances Bentley; brother, Bruce Phillips; grandchildren, Kelly Greene, Jennifer Bible, Jessica Westbrook, Michael Vandiver, Jason Vandiver, Leigh Harris, Brett Vandiver, Kaci Lopez, Allison Vandiver; great-grandchildren, Braiden Greene, Kylar Greene, Trace Greene, Caroline Greene, Whitney Vandiver, Jenna Vandiver, Tyler Vandiver, Abbey Bible, Ethan Bible, Patrick Vandiver, Sarah Vandiver, Abby Vandiver, Landen Westbrook, Lily Lopez, Mateo Lopez, Noah Lopez, Evan Coleman; and one great great-grandchild, Brexton Greene.
Pallbearers will be Michael Vandiver, Jason Vandiver, Brett Vandiver, Braiden Greene, Kylar Greene, and Trace Greene.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Flatwoods Baptist Church, Mark Goddard, Dr. Scott Kemp, Dr. Arti Pandey, Dr. Syed Aslam, Dr. Quinton Matthews and staff of MICU and DCH 5 Center, and Hotel Capstone.
