Eain Maxwell Cornford

Born July 2, 1942, in Wellington, New Zealand; died September 13, 2025, in Los Angeles, CA

Eain was born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand.

He excelled at rugby, soccer, and surf life-saving. He moved to the U.S. in 1960 to study at Drake University in Iowa. There he met Marcia, his wife of 60 years. Eain went on to earn a Ph.D. at Iowa State University before moving to Los Angeles to conduct research as an Adjunct Professor at UCLA.

Eain enjoyed singing, laughing, traveling, playing guitar, playing and watching sports, cats, and chocolate. He is survived by his wife Marcia, his brother Lindsay, and his three children Christopher, Daniel, and Andrea.
