Tiny Holst passed away on Octorber 23, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. She was 76 years old. Born in Berlikum, Netherlands to Albert and Hinke Dusselaar she was the youngest of four siblings: Jetse, Tjeerd, and Tjitske. Tiny was a woman of compassion and sincerity. After completing her education, her love for children led to a job that allowed her to help improve the lives of troubled juveniles. She took pride in helping others and genuinely wanted to make the world a better place. On May 11, 1962 she married her soulmate and began a beautiful life full of laughter, love, and joy. Shortly after the birth of their first daughter, Tjitske, the couple moved to California, where they were blessed with their second daughter, Gina. With very little to their names, the couple worked hard to build a wonderful life for both their children and themselves in the United States. She had a long and successful career opening and running a childcare center. After retiring, she spent her free time surrounding herself with her husband, family, and friends. She could be found antique shopping, attending car shows, and in her garden. She had an adventurous side and was always up for new things and experiences. Her smile and heart touched many people and could light up any room. She will be forever missed and loved.
Survivors: She is survived by her husband Tonny, her daughters Tjitske (Scott) Kennedy, Gina (Larry) Mascari, remaining siblings Tjeerd and Tjitske, and her grandchildren: Shannon, Ashley, Dusty, Joey, LJ, and Sabrina. Along with her dogs: Lucky, Bear, and Chevy and countless extended family and friends.
