Preston-Agnes Irene Langella, age 91, of Preston, passed on March 25, 2021 at Orchard Grove Nursing Home in Uncasville. She was born on February 24, 1930 in Norwich to the late Florian and Mary (Donat) Biederka.
Agnes grew up on a farm in Preston where she met her loving husband of 73 years, John Langella. He survives her.
Agnes was a well-known seamstress in the Norwich area. She enjoyed puzzle books, gardening, cooking and socializing with friends. She loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
Besides her husband, Agnes is survived by a son Emanuele Langella and wife Kathryn of Colchester, daughters Rosemary Durand and husband Leo of Norwich, Carolina Danielski and husband Robert of Colchester, and Patricia Langella and her husband Robert of Lisbon. She also leaves behind grandchildren Emanuele Langella and wife Maria of Norwalk, and Erika Langella and husband Paul of Portland as well as a sister Sophie Douglas of Montville. She is predeceased by a brother John Biederka, and sisters Vickie Kubicki, Bertha Kozlowski, and Jean Simonieau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick Cathedral in Norwich on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of to the Arthritis Foundation.
