Al was born in Plainfield, CT on October 18th, 1920 to the late Victor and Annie (Bradbury) Cloutier. He was also predeceased by two brothers Victor and Wilfred. After graduating high school he married his beloved wife Loretta (Brown) who predeceased him in 1966. Al and Loretta met while they were both working at Electric Boat where he was an electrician.

After he retired from Ann Dale he worked in Groton doing x-rays at Wyman-Gordon. Albie had a true love for jazz and often travelled to New York with his wife to listen to a variety of bands. He loved to fish and go clamming with his family and friends.
Al is survived by three sons, Gary Cloutier of Wallkill, NY, Bruce Cloutier of New London, CT, Mark Cloutier of Oveido, FL and one daughter, Jarine Lombardo of Bowdoinham, ME. Al has nine grandchildren and he adored each one of them.
He is also survived by ten great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
