

He is survived by his best friend, his wife, Rebecca Handy. He leaves his sons; Richard Pomroy Jr., Timothy Handy and daughter-in-law, Emily. The greatest joys of his life were his grandchildren; Dinastar Pomroy, Bailey Handy, James Handy and Cole Handy. He leaves his sister; Nadine Wichman and her husband Hans, sister Maureen Handy and brother Bryan Handy and his wife Mary. He loved and will be greatly missed by his in-laws; Harold & Sue Linsley. He leaves several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Andy lead a very full life and was full of energy from sun-up to sun-down. He was a positive inspiration to all he met. There was nothing he couldn’t find a way to fix. He touched the lives of many. He was an honest hardworking craftsman and ran a carpentry business with his wife by his side seven days a week. Earlier in life his career was diverse including farming, garbage disposal and steel and concrete work.
Andy was predeceased by his parents Fred and Elva Handy and his brother Fred Handy.
While he is gone, he will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to his family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24th at 11am at St James Episcopal Church, Rt 2A & 117 in the Poquetanuck area of Preston, CT. Burial is private at the convenience of the family.
