

Curran- Anna Marie (Zajdel) Curran passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in Norwich, CT at the Regency Heights of Norwich. Anna was born in Ludlow, VT. July 30, 1911. She is survived by a son, Ronald L. Curran Jr. of Norwich, and a daughter, Jeanett J. Donohue of New London and seven wonderful grandchildren: Michel Curran of Moosup, CT, David Curran of Norwich CT, Kenneth Curran of Hollywood, FL, Jeffery Curran of Wellington, FL, Sharon Curran of Plainfield, CT, Cathrine Donohue of Waterford, CT, and James Donohue of Las Vegas, NV. She also leaves four great grandchildren: Shanon & Heather Curran of Moosup, CT, Courtney DeRico of Canterbury, CT. and Dakator Curran, USCG, along with several nieces and nephews. Anna was employed at the former Troy Laundry in Norwich from which she retired after 40 years of service. Soon after she was a volunteer in the Norwich school system which she thoroughly enjoyed helping the young children. Anna later moved to New London where she was responsible for the running of “Sunny Lodge” an assisted living facility, from which she retired from after 5 years. She found great pleasure caring for the people who lived there. Anna was a hard worker who took pleasure in helping people. She returned to Norwich where she lived till illness forced her to enter Regency Heights of Norwich. She will be remembered for her generosity and caring to her children, their children and the many people she came in contact with. Cremation services were handled by Church & Allen Funeral Home of Norwich. There are no calling hours.
