Betty L Field Orr

(October 12, 1924 – April 23, 2012)

BOZRAH - Betty was born on October 12, 1924 to William J. and Grace Thayer Field in Orange, MA. She was married to John E. Orr, Jr. on May 4, 1946 in the Fitchville Baptist Church. He predeceased her in May of 2008. She is survived by her son Richard and his wife Linda, daughter Patti Duerrler and her husband William, along with grandchildren, Devin Orr and his wife, Melanie, stationed in Italy, Mikel Brockway and his wife, Michelle, of Norwich, and Nicholas Duerrler, also of Norwich. In addition, she has great-grandchildren Donovan and Tristan Orr, Hope Duerrler, and Mikel (M.J.) Brockway, Jr.

Betty was a wonderful artist who loved to paint snow scenes. She also had many friends at the Bozrah Senior Center and enjoyed playing cards with them. Her favorite pastime was shopping and eating out at local restaurants.

Church and Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be a memorial service at the Bozrah Centre Congregational Church on Saturday May 5th at 11:00 o’clock followed by interment at Johnson Cemetery in Bozrah.
