C Thomas Cole

Tommie was born in Middletown, CT on Aug. 3, 1944 to the late Robert and Margaretta (Sereson) Cole. He earned his bachelor’s degree and worked for 20 years as an assistant manager for Benny’s of Norwich. He went on to train as deli manager at Stop & Shop, then as district manager in the circulation dept. of the Norwich Bulletin and finally as an operator at the Mohegan Sun until his illness.

On July 16th, 1993 he married his beloved wife Donna (Geiler) at the Norwich Rose Garden and made their home in Norwich.

Tommie was an envoy member of Beta Sigma Phi, a communicant of the Cathedral of St. Patrick and assistant to the coffee hour there for many years, and previously ran the concession stand for Taftville Little League.

He is survived by his loving wife Donna, his daughter; Stephannie Cole, a son; Benjamin Donnelly and wife Christin, one sister; Loretta Nesci and husband George, several nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his “four-legged daughter” canine companion Rosie Marie.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 6pm – 8pm at Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, CT. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 10:00am at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Norwich meeting directly at the church. Burial is private at the convenience of the family.
