He was born on March 20, 1943 on the Island of Föhr, NW of Germany. He was 1 of 7 children to Walter and Meta Wirths. He had been living in the US since the age of 10 mostly in NY.
He served in the US Marines from 1961-1965.
He married his wife, Marilyn Bleach in 1968, and they had 2 daughters.
In 1973 they moved to FL where they lived for 44 years. He worked most of his life as a plumber. His hobbies included fishing, boating, gardening, cooking and really anything to do with nature.
Chris is survived by his wife, Marilyn, their 2 daughters, and 4 of his siblings along with all their families.
Funeral Service will be Friday Dec. 5, 2025 11:am at the Church and Allen Funeral Home Norwich. Burial will follow in Avery Stoddard Cemetery Ledyard.
