David Martin Goldstein

David was born February 2, 1929 in Norwich, the son of the late Abraham and Kate (Soloman) Goldstein.

He had served in the United States Army and was a member of the Bella Vista American Legion and of the VFW.

He had worked as a mechanical contractor and was the co-owner of Becker and Goldstein in Norwich CT.

He was a member of Temple Shalom of North West Arkansas. He especially loved to bowl and to garden. He was also an avid golfer, scoring a hole in one. He was also a member of the Elks and formerly a member of Beth Jacob Synagogue in Norwich and Pautipaug Country Club in Baltic. Upon retirement he moved to a golf community in the Ozarks of Arkansas.

He is survived by his daughter Faye (Goldstein) Nolan of Berlin, NH, son Ronald Goldstein and wife Joan of Rye, NY, step daughter Barbara Lapkowski and husband Stefan of Waterford CT, stepson Joseph Sajkowicz of Lebanon, CT, and step daughter Carol Bakowicz and husband Dave of Bartlett, TN, brothers Barry Goldstein of Jupiter, FL and Bernard Goldstein of Norwich CT, grandchildren Lisa, Kyle, Jack, Alex and Rachel, and great grandchildren Ava and Gavin.

A funeral service will be held at the Church and Allen Funeral Home in Norwich on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 11 am. Burial will follow in Brothers of Joseph Cemetery in Preston CT.
