David Nyack

Griswold — David Edward Nyack of Griswold passed Aug. 6, 2021. Dave was born July 1, 1970, in New Britain, the son of Edward Nyack III and JoAnn Nyack. He had been a resident of Griswold in recent years and had been a resident of Oakdale for many years prior. Dave spent his childhood years in Colchester.

Dave was a kind and big-hearted person with a quick smile and a wonderful laugh. He was passionate about lending a hand to anyone who needed it and making people smile. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling, being with friends and feeding others with his wonderful cooking. He was a devoted grandfather of two and was a large presence in the lives of his grandchildren. Dave was a talented mechanic and was proud of his work at Eversource. He considered himself the richest man due to his abundance of true friends. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Dave is survived by his wife, Jocelyn Nyack; his two daughters, Katie Biggins and Amanda Biggins; his mother, JoAnn Nyack; his sisters, Kristine Coombs and Suesen Hickey; his brother, Calvin Nyack; and two grandchildren.

A wake will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Church & Allen in Norwich. A private graveside service will be held for the family on Saturday. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
