

Born on 18 January, 1955, Deborah was the only woman of her generation. Her parents of
blessed memory were Irene Florence Figarsky (née Sadernsky) and Abraham Arnold Figarsky of
Norwichtown.
Deborah will be dearly missed and forever cherished by her surviving friends and family. Her
children: Sara Figarsky Morrison and partner Paul, Ezra Figarsky Morrison and partner Pacé,
Ilana Figarsky Morrison, and Anna Figarsky Morrison and partner Eric, her brothers David A.
Figarsky and partner Denise, and Philip E. Figarsky and partner Deborah Figarsky (née Kudej),
her dear aunt, Mildred Goldstein, cousin Daniel Epstein and partner Maria, cousin Bernie
Epstein and partner Alison, and her beloved nieces and nephews. She is survived by the father
of her children, Ira L. Morrison and partner Fee, and her former life partner, Philip M. Small and
the Isaacson-Small family.
Deborah attended the Norwich Free Academy for high school and later pursued her higher
education at Southern Connecticut State University where she studied communications. She
was an active member in her community, a lifetime member of Hadassah and the National
Yiddish Book Center, and a passionate educator.
In her leisure, Deborah enjoyed exploring nature and watching the birds, spending time with
family and friends, and going for walks. Deb loved crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, and was a diehard
Jeopardy! aficionado.
A funeral service to honor Deborah's life will be held on Monday, 24 June, 2024, at 11am EDT at
Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St, Norwich, CT 06360, United States. The services

A graveside burial will follow at Norwich Hebrew Benevolent Cemetery, #4.
