Frances D DeScisciolo Bohara

She was born on October 27, 1928 in Norwich to the late Gioacchino and Matilda (Terlezzese) DeScisciolo.

On Feb. 18, 1950, she married her beloved husband Robert in Norwich. He predeceased her in 1979.

Frances worked at many jobs including being the laundry supervisor at the former Norwich State Hospital from where she retired.

Frances enjoyed spending time with friends, family and a multitude of pets that she rescued, loved and cared for over the years. Beyond the domesticated pets she would also feed birds and deer regularly. Her greatest joys however were being a loving mother and grandmother holding family dearest to her heart.

She is survived by her son Anthony Bohara and his wife Ann, brother; Arthur DeScisciolo, sister; Gina Ciccarelli, grandchildren; Margaret Bohara and her husband Louis Bergelson, and Gwyneth Bohara along with many nieces, nephews and countless friends, two and four-legged.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Feb. 3rd at 10am meeting directly at Sts Peter and Paul Church, 181 Elizabeth St., Norwich, CT. Interment will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Norwich. There are no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made in Frances’ honor to the CT Humane Society.
