Herbert Herbie W Pearson

He was born on December 12, 1931 in College Point, LI NY to the late Herbert W. and Marie (Stinchcomb) Pearson. “Herbie” as he was best known, worked for many years as a plumber, carpenter, electrician, and with concrete in the building industry. He went to work for Ledyard as one of the first building officials in the state. He worked there for nearly 25 years before his retirement. Herbie was truly a “jack of all trades”. He could, and would fix anything given to him to repair.

Herbie married his beloved wife Joan (Kubik) on May 23, 1953 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Uncasville, CT. They raised their family in Gales Ferry.

Besides his wife Joan, he is also survived by his daughter; Linda Pearson & Kenneth Crossett, a sister; Valerie Pearson, sister-in-law; Clara Petrowski, grandchildren; Cody Pearson, Brendan, Ryan, Justin, Travis, Jenna, Tyler Marquis and Lindsay Gladue and one nephew Edward Petrowski. He was predeceased by his son; Andrew W. Pearson in March of 2013.

Calling hours are Thursday from 5pm – 7pm at Church and Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich CT. Funeral Services will be held at 7pm. Burial is private at the convenience of the family.
