Irval Labb

Irval I. Labb, age 84, died on August 23, 2022, at the William Backus Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Irval was born in Hartford on December 29th, 1937, to the late Gertrude and Daniel Bason.

Raising her children was always her priority. She enjoyed days at the beach, traveling, playing and usually winning, Scrabble, eating out and watching The Food Network. Irval served as President of B’nai B’rith and volunteered for many activities at Beth Jacob Synagogue.

She was “always and forever” the dearly beloved wife of Robert for 64 years, the loving mother of Edye Labb, Jodi (Robert) Gauthier, Andrea Labb and Marlee Labb; the adored and treasured “Bubbie” to Ross and Chase Gauthier; the cherished sister of Hope (Daniel) Firestone; and the proud aunt of many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at ECHO and on floor A3 at Backus Hospital.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday August 28th at 11:00 am at the Norwich Hebrew Benevolent Cemetery #3, 62 Middle Rd Preston, CT.
