Jeanne was a spectacularly incredible soul. From a young age, she relished the opportunity to spend time among friends and loved ones, as well as seek out adventure. She was known to be bold, fierce, creative, adventurous, compassionate, loving, inventive, resourceful, hard-working, and brilliant- among much else. Jeanne had the beautiful ability to strike up a conversation with just about anyone and leave a
lasting impression. An invested and skilled conversationalist, you never felt alone in her presence.
She loved to travel, having visited several parts of the world earlier on in her youth, experiencing it all with her husband, Robert by her side. Later on, she stayed closer to home and grew particularly fond of camping in various locations around the country in their motor home, as well as going on cruises as often as she was able. Jeanne inherited her late mother's green thumb and was an avid gardener- lovingly tending the most beautiful blooms and harvests year after year. She was an absolute whiz in the kitchen, instilling a love of cooking and baking in her granddaughters, a skilled crafter- often teaching others how to DIY a project, an animal lover, and an exceptional coordinator of fun and adventure when it came to her friends & loved ones (particularly her grandchildren!). She positively shined as a grandmother, and the love, care, and time she invested in her grandchildren was second to none. She wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty, and it became one of our favorite things about her.
Jeanne wasn't often found idle. She was always doing something for, or with others. Family came first for her. Anyone that had the privilege of knowing her, knows that this summary is largely lacking in detail,
and to say that she will be sorely missed is an understatement. She was the glue that bound us all.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Robert Vance Fletcher, a son, Terry Casteel (PA.), a daughter, Christine Casteel (CT.), as well as two bonus children: Robbie Fletcher (CT.) and Christine Fletcher
(CT.). Additionally, she leaves behind five grandchildren: Jacquelyn Gurchik, Justin Kolashuk, Jessica González, Amanda Casteel, and Ben Fletcher. She also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren: Logan,
Lane, Lakota, Lissable, Olivia, Jayden, Lily, and Sophia."
