Peikes- JoAnne Peikes 54, of Waterford died unexpectedly Friday Oct. 13, 2017 at her home. She was the beloved wife of David Peikes. JoAnne was born in Norwich, daughter of Robert and Janice Couture. She was a longtime employee of Electric Boat. She loved to read and travel, and loved animals especially her two cats Harley and Bunny. Besides her husband and her parents she is survived by her brother, Steven Couture and his wife Sue of New Jersey. She also leaves numerous brothers in law and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday Oct. 17, 2017 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Church and Allen Funeral Home 136 Sachem Street Norwich. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 17, 2017. Burial will be private.
